MISSION
Our mission is simple. To help ensure the growth and vitality of the Hastings Museum of Natural and Cultural History by providing financial support to the Museum's exhibits, educational programs, and the physical needs of its building and grounds.
PURPOSE
- To support the Hastings Museum, from contributions given for that purpose
- To accept gifts of all kinds, to hold, invest, reinvest, and disburse or donate for charitable purposes for the exclusive benefit of the Hastings Museum
Since its beginning in 1986, The Hastings Museum Foundation has served as a vehicle to support the capital and programmatic expenses of the Museum. Over $7 million dollars have gone through the Foundation to the enhance the visitor experience and to benefit the entire community. Past projects include the Lied Super Screen Theater; The Nature Nook; Lock, Stock & Barrell; & Cretaceous Sea exhibit. The Foundation also supports renovation of existing exhibits, the J.M. McDonald Planetarium, outdoor grounds improvement, and scholarship opportunities for Summer Fun programs and educational films for school groups.
